What beauty can arise when the wind, a concrete force of nature, finds a Fibonacci tree – which exists purely in the world of ideas? Beauty is, itself, an idea. However, it is not a mathematical abstraction like a Fibonacci tree. Instead, it is an idea that grows within each human being, and is only explainable to a certain extent. We can explain the wind, and we can explain Fibonacci trees, but we can’t explain how we feel when we see them meet. We can only contemplate.

The wind blows

The wind blows

The wind blows

on my Fibonacci tree

What a delight for you and me

when the wind blows

of my Fibonacci tree

The wind blows

oh, so gently!

The wind blows

on my favourite leaf

of my Fibonacci tree
